Daily Star Article - Your Tangipahoa Library is not what it used to be.

Your local Tangipahoa Parish library is not what it used to be, not by a long shot. Technology is at the forefront, with electronic book, or e-book, services soon becoming available and laptop computers already available for checkout, as are audio books. A new, modern, learning-themed library headquarters building with a "discovery tree" for the kids is under construction in Amite and should be opening in August or September.

A Note from Director Barry Bradford

Libraries still provide books, magazines, audio books, databases, DVDs, and many other items. But they also provide space and time for public meetings, face-to-face gatherings where people today, like the ancient Romans, exchange ideas and information. We need libraries more than ever because the Library is our community’s Forum.
